Well I through it was time for an update. The tank has fill out a bit, the plants have had to have a couple of good prunings.
I still like the idea of the layout, but I feel the tank needs to be wider to make it work properly.
I'm thinking of a new layout at the moment, and as the funds are low I will try to re-use as much as possible. The wood arch-way will be used on it's side as a wall from the right hand side to the back, which will create a second level. The orginal level on the left will be come a carpet of ....something, with open space above it.
That's about as far as I've got with the layout, but I've had a bit of good news. A Maidenhead Aquatics shop has just open very close to me. The guy running it is into plants, and will have 4 different surpliers, one being Tropica.

Cheers. The plants grow really well, but as well as the normal EI I dose Excel, which I believe helps quiet a bit.
The guy is still old school, but he seems open minded. I've spoke about EI but he hadn't heard of it.
I hope it works out as well as I hope it does .

it's the kind of look I want to go for but not having much success yet.
Something tall to hide the pipes at the left would be good as well.
