Ok I will do.
And reef putty, does that mean I can stick them to a peice or rock and move them again if needed?

yes, they will just pull off if you use putty - think of it a bit like chewing gum but less sticky, when chewing gum hardens it is easy to get off but it still sticks to whatever it is on

Ooooh, I got to invest in some of that.
Im going to move some of them zoas circle things you gave me onto some rocks and try moving a few more little heads that have randomlly appeared, if they have stuc onto a rock is there anyway to get it off? Also did you know there a few baby snails in here? And do zoas spread fast?

Just put a flat sharp knife under the zoa and cut it off :good: Yes there probably are baby snails :good: have you seen any asterinas yet?

:fish:

Seffie, its not the zoas that I want to move its a few others, they are brown if that helps.
Thanks for that Tina.
I have just moved the zoas, my fravioute ones have opened up already again, I am going to move 1 of them again soon as if the hermit stands on it its going for a long drop.
Yeah seffie, I have seen a couple of asterinas as soon as the tank arrived I saw two on the glass and there are a few small ones about. Are they also the ones that look to have a little bit of red one when there on peices of rock?

YF

Hang on, brown you say  are they tiny? Can you get a picture? I didn't have any brown zoas, they could be baby aiptasia, so don't try and move them yet until we are sure

There not zoas, or aiptasia they have bodys like theones with the bright green heads.
They could of came on another peice of rock from the other guy, I tried getting photos, there terrible but here they are, they are right in the center, these are not the ones I want to move but they are the same and I couldnt focus one the ones I want to move. You can also see the green coral things:

Also, the small coral thing I was worried about that had them kind of worm things on it, is now laying on the sand bed and is not attached to the rock it was on, im guessing this is a bad sign?

Wow, I am learning so much from this thread, hopefully I might be able to put it into practice in a couple of years when I get my first salty tank :)

Top ones are dark green zoas :good: that i had in the tank :good:

There are loads of worms in live sand, nothing to worry about, in fact they eat the crud and left overs

In a couple of years?
Make it a couple of weeks and we have a deal!

Ah, thats a relief then seffie. There are some right in the front corner 2 heads, its amazing do they just like shoot heads all over the place? There are also some yellow ones, are they yours? And the bright green ones?
Also I am seeing loads of what I think are tiny heads floating around, will they over time get settled where they want and open up?

Lol, I wish!!! Am going to Floriday next November for 3 weeks so I am saving up loads of cash for spends so all my other projects have been put back till after then. (Except for the 6x2x2 which is not going to cost me much)

I would nt worry about moving corals with your hands only thing so far that has caused me very minor irratation is a Zoa of all things

Zoas are very good at that actually

Have you read about the palytoxin that some zoas release??

It should be amongst the pinned articles in the Marine resource centre, do read it, do also keep some form of antihistamine in the house. Truck needed to use some as soon as he got his tank, everybody is different as to what they are sensitive to. Personally apart from hayfever, I am sensitive to latex and nickel, so far nothing in my tank has stung me.

It can happen.

YF sorry to hijack, but I think this is pertinnt to you too.
