Yf Can Taste The Salt..

One of the little bugs I saw on the rocks is now dead, floating around the box.
Is this somthing to be worried about?

Oh and if some of you remember I was ment to be get 10kgs for £30 off a guy. He knows him! He said "He buys live rock off all different people, puts led weights in them and then sells them on" So im glad I didnt go and buy them off him!
YF

if thats the guy from melton pretty sure thats a fib as i brought lr from him and chisled it and no lead
but as long as hes a nice person dont matter if he tells a white lie or two

Yeah, the guy I bought the LR off said he is nice but tells a few white lies.
But I want to avoid people like that to be honest.

lol, yf, I know just how you feel, i'm getting a riio 125 and not sure to stock it with, marine or tropical :)

yeah fair enough was the guy that you got yours from still near melton as the guy i went to said he went to a reefers club but the wieght thing is

a bit silly as lead is more than 5 pounds a kilo which is what he charges for lr

Im not sure to be honest mate, all im bothered about is I got decent LR I suppose thats all that counts.
What do you think about the bugs and stuff dieing on my LR?

YF

id say its the bit of die off wich is inevitable :good:

wow thats pretty cool haha :p

i post way to much and i dont even keep marine fishes :( lol

i also have never seen that graphic - cool :good:

Don't worry about the few dead bugs, there will be loads of live ones. The red bit looks like red coraline :good: Looks like a fair bit of green algae for the hermits to munch on, they will clear that quickly

Some of my bits of rock have more purple coraline and some is whiter but all have good bugs . copepods, rotifers, bristle worms, brittle stars, asterinas, sponges - two types of white and one lovely yellow.

Think there is actually two hermits in here, numerous nass, at least four, two dove, two ceriths. The chaeto has losts of copepods - if you sqeeze the bag when it arrives you might see them swim out :good:

If you have a blue torch take a look after lights out, you will be amazed.
