YEY! The sparkling, the cory-ing, the ugly..

Not the greatest pic, but it shows this tiny guy's attitude. Here he is attacking the biggest fish in the tank, one of my full grown Croaking Gouramis. They all bow down too... he's a stud.

If you mean both the Sparkling and the Croaking Gouramis, only the Croaking Gouramis make noise - and yes, both of mine do.

I haven't kept Licorice Gouramis, no, but I'm considering it. I know how sensitive they can be, so I'm hesitant, but then again - when they're happy and healthy they're sooooo beautiful. Now I want to go to the store...

silver - I don't mind tellin ya, they think I've got an ulcer. So basically just a heck of a lot of pain, with other good things like dehydration, got me to go in. As far as my mom understanding my passion... well... I don't know if she understands it, but she tolerates it. And at least supports it... if I don't need a new tank.

cutechic - They're Elegans (or Elegant) Cories. I found em at Petsmart too, in with the Juliis! Of course they refused to acknowledge they were anything different, but hey, I got em for a good price because of it.

Sorry to hear about you maybe having an ulcer. My sister had one a few years ago and had to go on a semi-strict diet for 2 years. It took some adjustment but after the 2 years passed, and the ulcers went away, she could eat whatever she wanted. Hope that's not what you have though.
