hello there, my pets are included in my signature.

i'm going to get one more ADF.

i was thinking about getting another kuhli loach.

and perhaps a rock (or wood) shrimp. but i really think that he would majorly overstock my tank.

thought about 2 ghost shrimps as well.

thx for all the kind advices :)

Here's an interesting article that I have found about the rule of thumb:

Definetely get more kuhlis. 3 would be good (More would be better!)

I don't know how big rock/wood shrimp get so I can't help you there.

And assuming that a tiger oto is as big as any other oto (1.5 in), you should be perfectly fine

I personaly think you should re-consider your choice on purchasing more fish for your 10 gallon.

Although your research on the subject seems to be directing you correctly, there other factors to consider;

i.e. fish enjoy a larger amount of room to swim around, I've always thought 'the bigger the space, the better' - so why not just upgrade if your thinking about buying more fish?

Upgrade to a 20 gallon [if you have the room] it's well worth the money, plus you'll have much more varying option son the whole fish front.

That's just my opinion, but I strongly suggest it.

Paul.

I agree with Paul, and I also think you'll just wind up feeling frustrated if you stick with the smaller tank. It's just whether you can afford to do it because I know bigger tanks don't come cheap. I have a 34 gallon tank and I'd love to go even bigger.

yeh i'll definitely upgrade to 20g or even more. money and space are just issues atm. thx for the advice! :)

i think i'll prolly just wait. i haven't seen much of my kuhli loach. they like to hide a lot during daytime. but i did see it swim around like crazy all around the tank. (it's been an observed behaviour) kinda funny when it does that. i should wait for the opportunity to observe him at night time to check if he swims around a lot.

thinking about 100g tanks *dreamy eyes*

Mate, if I had the money and the space - i'd be thinking about 1000 gallon tanks.

But if you spend time over it, upgrading at the speed that your wallet allows, it's all deffinatly worth it.
