Ok, my Nitrites have been off the chart for about 5 days now. My chemical test goes up to 5ppm, and my strip test goes up to 10ppm and its way off both charts.

My nitrates are fairly high, somewhere between 80 and 160ppm.

Ok, so my question is it is possible that I have too much Nitrite in my tank. Would doing a partial water change possibly speed up my cycle? I add a capful or two of ammonia a day and that is converted to Nitrite within a day.

I could probally just use more patience but I'm really tired of looking at an empty tank....

the amount of ammonia that is added daily should have been cut in half when the nitrites spiked...did you do that? 5 days in the nitrite spike is very short i would not do anything to upset this yet. You have nitrates so the only thing you are waiting for is the nitrites to come down. this can take time, usually at least twice as long as it took the ammonia levels to go to zero. However, when it comes down it will do so very quickly. Keep Patient. :)
