Hello
over the generations ive found something out: guppy's first colors are always black and then yellow!
is this normal? it is with all my species of guppy!
does anyone else have this too

I'm not sure what exactly you are describing. Guppies have a yellow-ish/green tint to their body; I've just had 4 males from fry and they started off the same color all guppy babies do and then colored up completely in about a week or so.

oh what color did they start in?

Guppies can start off in a variety of colors depending on their genetical make up. Albino Guppies usually start out white or yellow. Black Guppies can easily start out black but not always.

So @emeraldking is the expert on the genetics of these and will be able to tell you what's going on.

Albinos have double recessive genes and therefore are much weaker than other fish.

no his eyes were black and not red
that is sad :(
i wished to keep albinos but maybe not

All guppies will start off with a base color. That could be grey, blonde, golden, bronze, nigrocaudatus, olivegreen/grey, asian blau and white. When aging, the second colors will show up that might cover the base color partially or total. A second color that starts to develop doesn't mean that that will be the color to stay. For instance a definite second color like red, "may" start off as yellow, white or even blue instead of red. This means that they carry those those other colors as well but won't be the dominant. That's quite normal.
And with guppies of mixed blood, it's not always easy to determine what the outcome might bring.

Thabjs for your responses.
Here’s two strange cases of guppy coloring

these are both
Red dumbo mosaic x blue/black dumbo moscow
You can see the brother starting to become red with his new fin growth
The sister is still all yellow but theirbrood is one of the biggest and many of their children already have more color than them
