The guy I share my lonely night shift is also a fish guy, and last week he was all excited about the new place he signed a lease at..

Yesterday at work I got a bit of a surprise. Apperently his lease has a nasty little clause..

NO FISH TANKS.

glad I don't live there. So his little 4' tank now lives with me, and a bonus, I get the tank he was planning on upgrading the oscars in to. I have a better set up for them, so this tank can replace the fiasco I was hoping to have set up last month.. (lets just say I need a new carpet, and I'm grumpy about it)

Anyway... threads are worthless without pics...

Here's the new kids... I've been missing south American cichlids... and currently have a 300 gallon African set up..

theres 2 oscars, 2 convicts (unfortunetly a pair...) and an albino pleco..

I know these guys will happily outgrow this tank... BUT as a bonus.. they also come with this small pond w/ a huge (I'm guessing 50 gallon) sump set up. only drawback is that the stand did not fit out his front door and is now better off as firewood, so I do need to build a new one.

and as a disclaimer... this pic was taken less than an hour after we tore his tank down, moved it to my house and got water in it and filters running and the horrid backround will be replaces with black sheeting.. theres now a cave for convicts, and things for the oscars to tear up and put wherever they want...

nice oscars they will love the larger tank where they can reach there full size if not already :good:
