Yahooo! I'm Getting Betta Barracks!

I found someone local (thanks to Fishykisses!) who's selling his barracks.. for only $350 to boot! I won't be in town this weekend so I'll have to pick it up the weekend after that. I can't wait!! It holds 96 bettas and fits just perfectly in my teeny, tiny living room

wow thats huge! I have one thats about the size of an oven (the kind thats beneath the stove lol) and it holds 48 bettas

That is SO nice! I'm super jealous ... the only barracks I've seen for sale was $500 US and in LA, so I'd have to drive 12 hours too. Lucky!

For real, you are a serious Betta breeder. =0) I'm so proud. It seemed like just yesterday when you were asking me how you go about spawning. The student has obviously surpassed the teacher. LOL

How in the world would you do water changes?

There will be a sump where the heaters and filters are which is where you water change from or some peeps have a tap on the barracks before the filter where they can isolate for water changes

Wow that is awesome. But I'm confused, if the tanks are clear then wont the males see each other and flare themselves into sickness and possibly death?

what the heck have you been reading dude o__o. flaring does not kill fish otherwise they wouldn't even be able to breed

Nah, the worse that'll happen is that they'll flare themselves silly and end up exhausted with blown fins. But I'll be putting up a piece of paper in between all the tanks so they won't be doing that.
