your's definately has a more red devilish face than mine does, notice the pointy nose compared to the rounder shape of mine

From what I've read, a pure red devil is pretty hard to come by,most that are found in shops are crossed. My lfs had a 2" red devil not too long ago, and it looked like it could have possibly been pure, I highly contemplated on taking it but by the time I made up my mind they'd sold it

mine is about 10", I really wish I'd of gotten the small one I'd love to bring one up from the time it was a wee babe ,maybe someday For now I'm happy with my moose

I got mine at about 10" as well. someone had been given a tank with this in it and they didn't have a clue how to lok after the thing so i ended up with it. but i'm glad I have it. Very agressive though.

Ditto, he's a big meany but it's ok, I love him anyway even though he wants to rip up my hand when it's in the tank I can relate....I have days like that too

I have to fend him off with a stick with one hand and clean the class with the other. got it down to a fine art now.

We tried something similar, I would make my kid stand at one end and distract him while I went in to clean the other end...that didn't work, he must have eyes on the back of his head

Then I tried blocking him on one end using the glass lid, that worked but it's a hassle. Now I just let him come at me and I grab his tail everytime he tries to get super aggressive thankfully ....that works! I think he realizes I mean him no harm and that I'm actually kind of fun to play with The gravel vac on the other hand....oh the poor gravel vac, it takes a beating every time I do a water change
