Worst Night Mare Come True.

Not fish related, but I once rang in and had a hlaf-day off work, I told them my pet was very ill and I had to go to the vets.

When I got into work, I was very upset, crying etc, and they were very good & sympathetic....

Until I told them it was my budgerigar that had died!

For some reason that didn't warrant as much sympathy as if it were a dog or cat -_-

Ah well, I'd go with the family issues one :)

I wander how much time you can get off for a dead fish.

It's a slow leak, shouldn't really take time off work as I will have time to sort it out. But if i could have my own way I'd do it first thing tomorrow. :*) If it all goes horribly wrong then it's my parents fault. Dad says a new tank is unecessary. What am I gonna do with the fish when we are waiting on a seal drying? I want to do properly this time and but a proper stand for the tank too. My parents don't really see it as a big deal that I'm upset and concerned for my fish. They are after all terribly insignificant and there are more important things to worry about.

When I did a 100% cleaning of my 10g (changed gravel, replaced plastic plants scrubbed the glass clean, emptied the tank) I put all the fish in a 2g bucket and hung the filter on the side and turned the filter on (turned it down to lowest setting) and put the fish in it, I also put a 50 watt heater in the bucket to. Not sure if you already said this, what size tank is it and what and how many fish are in the tank?

Yeah I'd know what to do when I do the big swap. Got a big 50 litre bin I put them all in when I changed the substrate from gravel to sand. Its's a 63 litre tank. It's the babies I'm worried about.

I guess :fish: is your hobby now Lynz and with all hobbys you need the best of equipment. Golfers need the best golf clubs, footballers need the best boots. You need a good tank and something to put it on. Having seen some of the tanks you can buy now I think its fair to say that tank isnt very good and was cheap, it was a good starter tank but now its one if not the main interest in your life its time to get some good equipment. Thay tank should have probably lasted longer but its not, so its good opportunity for a bigger better one you can fit more fish in. :) As you say you only want the best. ;)

We'll get it sorted on Sunday. :)
