Hi

there were two redish worms in my tank this morning, they are very long(about 3-4cm) i got one out with my net but the other, larger one is staying under the gravel. What are these worms and how can i get rid of them? thanks.

do a search for tubifex worms. Prob. came in with some plants if youve recently gotten some. they live in the substrate and you will see them "poking" their heads out and quickly disappear if disturbed. Harmless and fish will eat them. Do a good substrate clean and do not overfeed.
cheers

Thanks alot. They were how you described and they behaved how you described. I had recently bought two more plants so thats prob how they got in. I did a good substrate clean and everythings good again.
Thanks alot.
