Built my own as well, actually mine looks a lot like ste's. But the first time i wired it i did things a little wrong and when I flicked the switch 2 of the 4 lights came on super bright and the other two not at all. Then it blew out the power to that entire wall. I rewired it and now I consider myself to be an electrical genius.
Its such a good feeling when a plan comes together, think kriton from tv show red dwafh said it best "pemition to be smug sir"
