Hi, some advice would be appreciated.
I have a breeding tank that has 15 fry in it. 1 week old (fluke)
I have put a breeding trap in there, but find when I move my pregenant guppie over, she absorbed the babies.
I know it would probably help her more if she was put in the actual tank, but I'm worried that she will eat my other babies.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Also since I have mollies, guppies, platys and swordfish I really need advice that relates to all.
Please help, I don't want to loose my fry, but I also want my pregenant girls to have there babies
(Also it is too dangerous to leave the pregenant fish in my big tank as I have tetras, gourami, sharks and angelfish.

Thanks

i tend to leave my pregnant livebearers in the main tank then when i spot babies skim them of the top and put them into a seperate tank until they are large enough not to fit into the other fishes mouths. it varies with species but as a rule i tend to leave them till they are about 3/4inch-1 inch long.
moving the pregnant females is an option but i tend to find its less stressful for the female to leave her where she is and just keep an eye out when she looks ready to drop
