healthy fish are good for more than aweek without food. go on vacation and dont worry about them...maybe a nice big waterchnage before you go, but dont worry about food. feed them as normal before you go
cheers
Well, probably not. I would say maybe a day, although I haven't had goldfish since I was a kid.
You can get these pellets that release food over a certain span of time. At the Walmart in my town, you can get ones that release a bit at a time for a week. Then the lfs in my town has one that'll go for a few days, but I can't remember the exact time.
It's probably not the healthiest food, but would certainly be better than nothing at all.
agree, he should be fine as long as he is healthy. Some people actually refraing from feeding fish for a couple of days (or so I have learned) to help treat/prevent constipation. I wouldn't advise using one of those weekend feeders, I have never used them myself (new to fish), but I have heard they can dirty up the water pretty good, you may come back to more problems then if you just left him with no food. As said before do a water change before you leave, then enjoy you trip
