I ended up taking around 36 of the devils to my LF's and still have around 10 in the fry tank and 15 in the Discus tank.

I must have had around 200 of them at diff. stages of dev. cause the cory's went into a breeding frenzy over a period of a week and laid 100's of eggs all over the glass.

Glad their brothers and sisters are doing well anyway

THey dont like hot water, they might be breeding well, but the heat will shorten their lives significantly.... as said previously on this forum

don't corys only breed when they're happy? something must be right to produce so many eggs! what did your lfs offer for them? i've noticed mine are now growing more quickly in my angel tank than others, dunno why though

I am beginning to wonder if anyone here actually researches the fish the want before they get them.....

They will be fine in an angel tank as an angel tank is at normal temps, not 29-30 where you keep discus.
Corys will breed in a lot of temps, but the temp will determine whether they are male or female whilst they are eggs.....

think mine are a lil too young for breeding yet, although i can't find anywhere what age they start to breed at? not got them speficically for breeding so not too concerned just curious. angel tank is same as community tank at mo temp/stats wise, fry tank slightly cooler. all i can think is the angels get fed more often (greediest fish i've ever had!) and the cats in that tank are taking advantage of the situation lol

How does the temp determine sex? Which does what?
I have not seen that info anywhere.

Since I wrote that, I am not sure if its true, but I will be asking David Price about it at the Catfish Study Group convention and then if he can tell me more I will let you know
