i'm picking up my fx5 on sunday i want as much clutter outside that tank as possible. i want to get a hydor heater but i don't know if it will fit on the fx5 pipe?

thanks

What do you mean by "on the FX5 pipe"? You're saying you don't want to have cluter in the tank, but the pipe I assume you're talking about is the (either) intake or output, if you're thinking of trying to put it INSIDE the FX5 it won't work as the filter needs to be sealed or it will leak. Putting it on either the intake or output is a hard one to answer as I don't have an FX5, I guess when you get the filter, you'll just have to try it out.

That or hide the heater behind some decorations.

sorry i meant the output pipe. and no i wasn't talking about putting inside, i'm just not sure what the diameter of the pipe that is used on the fx5. so maybe that would be a better question.

so what is the diameter of fx5 pipes? (by pipes i mean input output pipes)

Hi, no it WILL NOT FIT straight on.

The FX5 pipe diameter is 25mm

The Hydor 300 is 16mm

So it wont fit on without using a reducer etc, but that will restrict the flow.

hey

thanks for your answer.

sorry it took a while to respond i kinda forgot about this thread.
