Wildfires… our area is being evacuated

Glad its getting under control.

On the way drive back from camping I saw two smoke clouds rising into the sky right next to the road. There was a fire vehicle driving towards the area. Hope it wasnt anything too bad

We’re staying put, our friends evacuated to us since they are closer to it

Still Smokey and the fire is still going. They opened the freeway over the pass but closed it again. No major spread but awful air quality

Up to 14,000 acres burned. The firefighters can’t do a lot due to the terrain. The roads still closed off and on

Yes it’s still going. The air quality is terrible, driving it looks like thick fog blocking your vision. The firefighters can’t fight it due to the terrain and risk of falling trees. There’s currently about 250 firefighter working it right now. There was mild rain that started yesterday, hopefully it will help. The house smells like smoke inside still

Sheesh.... That's a lot. I thought it was getting better?. Guess not.
All the people, homes, and wildlife affected by wildfires is just sad.
Hopefully over time it just goes away without causing too much more damage.

Amazingly only 1 outbuilding has been burned, they’ve done a fantastic job of creating firebreaks around structures

That's great to hear it hasn't affected many people then it sounds like. But for the wildlife it's pretty sad
