I just got here and I didn't close it OR read t. But for starters, I don't think this topic should have been started :S
Yeah i am sorry about that, just spur of the moment anger over the sudden closing of my thread that made me start this one i guess- none the less i'd still apreiciate an answer from somone with authority over this kind of matter.

I'm not trying to be argumenative here, just trying to give you some persepective.

A common misconception or assumption among board members (meaning all forums not just this one) is just that..that they "assume" that moderators have to do things a certain way. When in all actuality they can and will do things as "they" themselves see fit to regulate them. I'll post this common annodaote just for kicks. Do you know what A.S.SU.M.E can do? It can quickly make an ASS out of U and ME. Just something to think about

There is no written guide that says a moderator has to handle things a certain way. If you will go back and read some of the previosuly closed threads rgarding these issues you will see mods giving explinations...you will also then see more threads pop up regarding the closures.

So in all actuality..it really doesn't matter if they give an explination or not..someone is going to come right along behind them and post another thread wanting to know "why". The explination is because they felt is necessary, obviously. i personally don't see why they have to go behind each one and post the same thing..then have to explain it again and agin in every other thread that pop up after they close another one.

I'm sure th whole ordeal gets quite tiring after a while..and if it continues..I'm sure it leaves a bad taste in ones mouth and their judgement could get clouded. Having to explain yourself over and over is tiring enough..but having to explain then defend your actions would get quite aggravating..that can and will come back out inwhat you post..and that is not what moderators want to portrait themselves as.\

I've been a moderator on other boards before..and this is not a uncommon problem on other boards either. When threads are closed, toes feel stepped on, and no one can ever understand why "their" thread was closed. Just how it seems to always work out. :dunno:

I'm sure you would, but that's not likely to happen. We'll probably never knoooow :p It doesn't matter anyway. The thread was a rant with no purpose and with no particular fish involved. The point of it was merely to stir the pot, hence it was locked.

Well i am glad you have given me a reason at least now.
Fish= betta.
purpose= to lay rest to an on-going debate.
rant= if i was i think it was a very polite and civilised rant at least, more than you say about some threads that have been allowed to continue for pages and pages and pages...

How i feel now as to my respect over this forum and the mods, i guess you'll never knooow :p

EDIT: can you please close this thread, if it takes your fancy, as i think its run its course over the finding of a reason, and the reason has now been found.
