Why Isn't Chat Used Much?

Actually we do talk about fish, and help people who float in and out looking for advice. We don't talk fish none stop however, but do very often infact .

I've set up a seperate chat room which you can access through the main room, so if you want to play trivia, blackjack or hang man enter the main room normally, then type /join #tff-gameroom

Or just click on the link to it in the message when you enter. This "games room" is for playing games only, no talking should go on in there. Unless your discussing which game to play.

This means that no games will be able to be played or are allowed to be played in the main room. This room is for chatting only.


As for us not talking about fish all the time, do you know how boring that is? We normally go off topic and have fun in there which is partly what it is about. But we will nearly always answer a fish question if someone asks us one.

i agree with hooli n vix.we dont always talkfish but we always try and help people with questions that pop in and we try to make people feel welcome.

Theres some great people that come in chat with a hell of a lot of knowledge like cfc,andywg,tolak,paul mts just to name a few but sometimes its just nice to sit and chat and have a laugh.

why not givie it a go and pop inyou never know you might like it

There is a #fishchat, but the idea didn't take off. Nevertheless, its there, but whether the owner (me) will be there to moderate is another matter.

I used to spend hours nd hours in there , then laid off it for a while.

When I started using it again it was mainly full of people lurking and not speaking so I've not bothered going in since .

As for the time difference, although there are obviously some problems with time zones, we regularly used to get Brits, Canadians Americans and Aussies on together. It used to get busiest at around midnight (UK) as many of the americans and Canadians were just getting home form work.

Do you mean, there's no trivia until I come in? If so, I apologise to all for today, I couldn't get in today, stupi internet died this morning and I haven't been in all day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better

i am a recovering chatroom addic only reason i'm in recovory is because i lost my isp for a bit (ok a long time i gotta pay for my other habits also ) i would love to talk agin with you all b.t.w my chat name is dustball oh well i guess some of us have to burn the midnight oil for the rest of yins (pittsburghies don't ask we just make up words around here)
