I go in chat alot and see about 1-5 people and usually no one's chatting so I was wondering why it isn't used more as chats can be great fun and can be a better way to get information across sometimes...

it's the time difference, most (not all) people that regularly go on chat are from the UK, its about 10.30am right now over here, and sunday, so people have been lying in, plus the fact that most people go on in the evening. So aus is..... 8 hours ahead of UK? maybe if you went on early morning your time then more people would be on. :D

lol, well sometimes midnight our time some people are on - drunk lol, that can be quite funny apparently. In our day time people like hel and vix are on to chat to.

I used to spend hours nd hours in there  , then laid off it for a while.

When I started using it again it was mainly full of people lurking and not speaking :sly: so I've not bothered going in since :dunno: .

As for the time difference, although there are obviously some problems with time zones, we regularly used to get Brits, Canadians :hey: Americans and Aussies on together. It used to get busiest at around midnight (UK) as many of the americans and Canadians were just getting home form work.

Basically it goes through phases. Some people will spend a lot of time in there, but eventually (most) people get a life and have far better things to do than spend their life in a fish related chat room.

I was in there yesterday morning, I try to hop in on the weekends in the morning while I pump some coffee into my system. :)

I used to be in there on a more regular basis a few years back, but got burned out on it. Like andywg stated, it can suck up a lot of time that can be used in a more useful manner.

Yah, wastes all your time but its soooo addictive.

Anyway because people wanted things to do, I've set up trivia, blackjack and hangman. So if your bored you have somehting to do.

It's mostly U.K people in there. Usually to talk to them, I have to stay awake until 1 or 2 and then the u.k herd comes in.

Come and have a go at Trivia if you think you're hard enough... Hooli's winning (cheat) , I'm in second and everyone else are loosers.

ahh..the good ol' days eh Arf? :hey:

There's 14 people in the chatroom right now, however they're playing blackjack so no actual talking is going on. Boring if you don't want to play games.
