speaking of people with nothing better to do (see: me) i actually started to keep roll a while back. that means checking the mod profiles on a daily basis to see who had been here and who hadn't. that's right. manually checking. want to know what i found?
with the notable exception of the three mods already listed, all the other mods visited very frequently. the vast majority are here ever single day. the rest check in every two or three days. and this is assuming that they log in under their own names and do not visit in a "guest" capacity. there is not a shortage of moderators.
however! the mods generally do *not* log in so that we can see them. many times i would see that someone was currently logged in but their name would not appear at the bottom of the screen. while i can see the convenience of being logged in anonymously, it seems that it is creating the impression of general moderator absence. it would be my suggestion to those mods bothered by that perception that they log in such that they are visible at the bottom of the main page.
