I have an aquarium with tetras and mollies, temperature at 78%, pH at near 7.0. Don't know why only the mollies are always up top sucking air while the tetras never do. They seem healthy and I've had them for almost a year. Any ideas as to what their problem is?
Thanks,

Thanks wwestar2000! At least it's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one with weird mollies!

yeah mollies do it alot.Although it can be a sighn of bad water and low oxygen levels.

To me this is as germanshepherdlver said this is more likely to be because of low oxygen in the water.

To solve this you need to cause turbulence on the surface with say a powerhead, this should help your fish out

Mollys do this to help them find food that may be floating on the surface of the water but if they do it 24/7 this is a sign of bad water quality or low oxygen levels.

it's normally normal, they just are looking for food. tetras, never do that, it is just odd ot see one doing that.
