Who's your favorite betta? and what makes them your favorite?

My favorite is Queen.

I'm not really sure why she is my favorite. Her beady little black eyes and the way she moves, she's so full of emotion. Watching me.. following my finger around as I move it around in front of her tank. She's so curious and full of life, no doubt the smartest betta I've ever had. Queen was my first female betta ever and will always be my favorite.

So who's you favorite?

Look at him! How could I not love the little guy? :D He just looks so graceful when he swims back and forth.

He's the most unique looking betta I have. His colors are so vibrant and he's such an active fishy.

My favorite betta passed away earlier this year, at one year of age. His name was Dickey Barret, and he was a gorgeous blue and pink marbled VT. He was the first betta I got up at school, because he was all emaciated with fin rot in the bottom of a little cup. He recovered to be the most beautiful animal I've ever seen, and he had a lot of personality. Dickey never flared much at all, but he was very active, and always did this cute little waggle-dance when he saw me. He was a little lazy, possibly because his fins were just massive, and had a favorite plant that he always "sat" in. He also liked his cave.
He died very unexpectedly one day after spitting up his food. He had been having regular BMs, so I do not think it was constipation. He just went pale, stopped eating, and in the space of one day, died. I actually held him in a shallow cup with added blackwater and held his head above water while running water over his gills trying to keep him alive, since he couldn't surface to breath. It was to no avail. :-(

:rip: Dickey Barret, my home is a little emptier without you.

Rest In Peace little guy.

My favorite betta is Carp. He is so fiesty and ugly, he's gorgeous! And even though I complain about him tearing his fins, I wouldn't get rid of him! He's so hilarious, he open and shuts his mouth like 30 times in a second. He's so random! I'm sure most people on here knows what he looks like, but I'll put up a pic anyway

My first betta, Neptune, Cambodain VT, had every color on his fins imaginable. Just mysteriously died one day. :rip: Neptune.

Aww. Sorry 'bout your guy. May he rest in peace.

my favorite betta! Midnight, I just love how her color is so silvery... and pretty.... and she's very fiesty. shes the newest, usually in my tank the newest are bullied by Sally and Skye, but she fought right back, and now she's one of the "leaders" too, :p

my favourite is my first (in my avi)
he's called Bruce.
he was called Bruce Lee, but he's got so beefy now i've renamed him Bruce Willis.
just an ordinary turquoise VT always up to mischeif
ALWAYS begs for food and comes when he's called!
and his new game is swimming up to the outlet where the water goes back into his tank from the filter and getting pushed down to the bottom, flaring all the way, swims back round the tank, and does it again, and again, and again. he's so silly!

I can't choose a favorite: George (VT), my first, swims all over in his 6 gallon and hides in his cave when he's startled. He flares at me periodically, just because. I thought Barracuda (VT) was a goner when the kids picked him out at WM. The healthier looking one I got (Charger) didn't live more than a week. Barracuda's pulled through fine--and his coloring is weird. Red and purple and metallic turquoise and blue and fleshtone. He's laid back and pretty large. Mercedes is my only blue betta. I think she's a Plakat. She's very active--I think she'd do well in a larger tank. I love her color. Mustang is such a gorgeous shade of red. Very solid. He "sleeps" on his leaf. (P from Wuv). Porsche seems to be smarter than the others. He is the only one who's ever built a bubble nest. (orange-ish P from Wuv). Challenger is a white/blue/burgundy/purple VT from a pet store. Thought I was losing him for a week or so, but he's pulled through and is pretty active. I like to watch him swim around. Then there's the ladies in the Sorority from Synnir . So precious and special. Inquisitive, getting along well with each other. The smallest one, Eve, isn't picked on by the much larger sisters.
