i welcome algae in my tank. but i cant seem to get any. :dunno: it doesnt bother my fish and i like the look of it.

I don't mind algae, but if it starts to bloom into the water (The water gets green and cloudy) I will usually do something about the problem :)

I've got a thick coating on my rocks a think coating on my glass and a thick coating in my sand

love it

the fish like it and it makes the tank look more natural. I tried growing it out as a background didn't wipe the back glass for several months but didn't work like I wanted, too bad eh, I've got a rock poster background now instead

I don't have any algae on the glass because I have a Common Pleco and A Golden Apple Snail. I do have some green algae on an ornament and I am going to leave it there in case the Pleco or snail want to eat it. :)

yep but not too fussed as you said algae looks quite nice on my logs and rocks and my plecs love eating the algae anyway so i encourage a little algae growth. the only time i do something about the algae is if the front glass gets a little too much on it or i get blooms in the water which discolors it.

not too bothered as long as it doesn't get out of hand

I don't mind a small amount of algae, on woods or rocks it gives a natural, established feel to the tank. Too much looks ugly, though.

My ottos certainly love it, I don't often have any.

Don't mind algae as long as it's not the dreaded cyanobacteria!!!!!
