Who do you feed an invertabrate?

So, I've been looking around in liveaquaria.com and I've notice that it says under invertabrates things like, for example the Bulb Anemone's paragraph said
It should be kept with a Clownfish for best results. At times, the tentacles may appear stringy; this may be due to insufficient light or the need for food.

Its diet should include chopped fish, shrimp, or worms if a clownfish is not present.

Well how do you feed it the chopped fish, shrimp, or worms? Do you just put it in the tank and let it flot around?

This has been said many times before, and I'm pretty sure Navarre will back me up on this. Don't get an anemone. They need massive amounts of light, perfect water conditions, and are still prone to just get up and wander your tank in search of a more suitable area. They're NOT for beginners, by any means. This is without going into the moral aspect of the small percentage taken from the wild that actually survives to make it to the fish store, and the small percentage that will actually live beyond a few years in captivity. These are creatures that can live for untold amounts of time... nobody truly knows their lifespan in the wild.

Look into a sarcophyton instead... http/www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...cfm?pCatId=2051 . Your clowns will be just as likely to host in that.

Oh and on topic, just put the food near its tentacles until it can grab it. It'll know what to do after that.
