Who Can Identify The Gender Of These Two Angel Fish?

I wonder what would initiate an angel fish spat? Is it an argument about the décor? Choice of spawning location? Or some imagined slight because one angel fish was admiring itself in a reflective section of the tank and the "spouse" gets miffed because its mate is having an "affair".
But generally angels are true to cichlid rules in that they are often far from angelic, unless they are a sole angel in a suitable community tank, then they tend to be aloof and snobbish to the "lower" (in their opinion) fish.

They're cichlids flutter, anything and everything can initiate an angelfish spat.
 
As for that male Akasha, that is indeed an extreme example. I've had a few males show humps but that's ridiculous, what are you feeding them?
 
Introducing pairs can be a challenge. It's best done when you're there to pay close attention (but not to hover, give them some space), and even if you're watching they can do a fair amount of damage to each other in a short period of time. Generally you get a fair idea fairly quickly that they're not going to get on, but occasionally they'll go crazy (and it's not always the male) and try to tear each other apart. I always used to do it first thing in the morning, in the hope that they were used to each other before I needed to get some sleep, but it's no guarantee.

They get Tetra Prima and something from the freezer 3 times a week - I alternate Artemia, Bloodworms and tropical mix. Artemia is their favourite I think
