White Opaque Super Delta

I also think the other 3 fish posted are all VTs. Not sure if they are being advertised that way, but they all look like VTs to me (not great pics, so it's hard to really tell on the 1st one, but I'm definately sure on the last 2), and that Cambodian looks red, not brown.

All are still very pretty...and if asking a fair price for them..I'd say go with the cambodian..he's really pretty.

I'm not gonna buy any of them, boyfriend just won't let me. But just wanted to share the pictures of them :p The names aren't given by me, they're copied from how they're advertised for.

Another problem with opaques is that almost all of them eventually go blind, providing they live long enough. The opaque coating eventually covers their eyes.

Yeah, I forgot about her telling me that part. That's great isn't it...make 'em have a gentic liver disorder and go blind at the same time....I was very upset that I had bought one after Kelly told me about that...I felt like a real heel to say the least :(.

I think the only time you really need to feel guilty is when you knowingly contribute to the problem. You bought a pretty fish because you didn't know any different- my Elana was a scrumptious opaque, and the reason I wanted to start a line in the first place. Now, though, I'm glad that a fungus prevented things from getting to this stage of the game. I don't think I'd have been able to stand watching this happen.

As to the pictures that started the thread to begin with? Definitely not of fish belonging to any breeder in the Netherlands. Just as well your bf wouldn't have stood for you getting them, Erised ;) Two of them, the opaque and the chocolate, are ripped off of Faith's BettaTalk site. Whether they're her fish or just pics used with permission I don't know, but considering how long they've been posted there, I'd say regardless of who owns them those two are long dead by now.
