White Blister Appeared On Harlequin's Lip

Melafix is only good on external bacteria infections, not internal bacteria infections.

Just to let anyone know who may read this looking for help.

It is nearly 4 months since my Harlequin had this problem and he is still fine - he sometimes has a tiny white bump on his lip, and he sometimes doesn't. I think it is probably just down to his behaviour whether he bumps into things now and then.

I posted last night under Triple sulfa meds.

This is exactly how my female Pearl Gourami's mouth started out. One blister on one side that then progressed to both sides.
I treated with the tea tree oil and it did get better but came back.
It started a few weeks ago (relatively new tank) water conditions were less than ideal. They are now all reading within safe limits,
I treated with the triple sulfa yesterday and also using medicated food.
She is very interested in food but seems to be having trouble eating.
I am crushing the food for her.

I too have this same issue with my harlequin rasboras. Mine have had this white spot for months and act totally fine. Many forums I've read are suggesting that these fish might just be prone to getting these white bumps when establishing hierarchy. It seems the bump has stayed about the same for like 2 months now. I'm wondering if it's a scar now? Oddly enough, it seems to only have effected my 3 largest most colorful fish which I believe are males. The smaller ones do not have it. The larger ones are the ones that are the ones that seem to spar with each other to challenge for territory. The smaller fish just stick together.
