What filter would you recommend to get for my 6 gallon quarintine/ hospital aqaurium. NO big fish will go in it really and only a couple at a time. A link or description and site would help.

Would a fluval 1 + be okay as i'm confused to how sponge filters work. And its only a tennar on ebay

Okay dads said we're ordering the linky one on weekend. Thanks its not hard to put together is it (me crap at DIY) also will it come with sponges if nto can you buy some oens and cut them to size???

there is plenty of cheap filters in the lfs that would do great in a tank like yours =)

Didnt fully read the link, but easy to put together, just push the connections on, should come with sponge and carbon I believe, double check the listing.

Play sand is fine.

Also would the filter suck in the sand and i know how to clean it but how far away do you hold them again i mean from the sdand.

Don't say anyhting bout a sponge or carbon.

The filter will be placed near the top of the tank, so no worries about it sucking up the sand.

The water cleaning happens in 2 phases:

Biological cleaning by a sponge
Chemical cleaning by a special active carbon

if its a hospital tank then run a fluval 1 in your exsisting tank so the filters always mature
