Hi.
I need to glue some pipe clips onto my structured background. It needs to be strong since silicone didn't prove strong enough for the job.
What can I use that is safe? Epoxy 2 part?

almoast all simple 2-part epoxies are safe. Usually the cheaper ones tend to be the safer ones, go figure. Not all will cure in the presence of water though ;)

Cheers. No, I'll drain it a few cm and then just epoxy the clips, let it dry and then fill up again. Is it best to leave it longer than the 'full strength times' stated on the glue packaging?

check out the marine section of you LFS and look for coral adhesive
there are several brands on the market and all are 100% safe and dry like concreate :good:

superglue is safe?

Absoloutely, even cures underwater. Us reefers have been stickin corals together with it for years now. And if you go to the hospital with a big abrasion that they can't stitch... They cover it with superglue . Very safe

great to know :D... thx...

PS: I read about the use of superglue to "stitch" wounds... it's not your average super market super glue... it's a special super glue that's designed for that use...

Cheers for the replies. Think superglue gel is the way to go. I've used some now to stick some Java ferns onto the background and it all seems to be ok. they look pretty good even if I say so myself!

I know its an old topic but I was just browsing thru and its probably a silly question, but how can super glue be safe? I have a bottle of it in my hand and it has this pic on it

What about the fumes that come off it as well? They smell quite bad.
