You could keep almost any pleco with discus they like soft water and are peaceful. Only thing is with any pleco you will get LOTS of Poop. these guys are all poop machines and there for will add more ammonia to the tank. So with discus that would be the only problem I would see keeping the together.

As with any carnivorous pleco there is also the risk of them latching onto the Discus,

Also L114s get big so I'd be looking at a tank of around 75G+

I wouldn't with a L114. Big makes high risk of stressing the Discus, and that dietry profile on Planet Catfish makes me suspect it's a latcher... Mind you Hypansistrus aren't (generally speaking) usually too bad...

All the best

No, you can't keep almost any Pleco with Discus. It's risky! I don't believe Plecos have a place in a Discus tank, but your safest bet is a bristlenose Pleco.

I'm a big pleco fan and I have 4 different kinds. Never once have I ever seen them try and latch on to other fish. These are scavengers not hunters. Now a CAE yes they will chase fish are latch on. if your Carnivorous pleco is starving it would go for the fish. But for the most part plecos keep to them selves if all their needs are filled.

Some mature larger plecos can become territorial and might chase fish away from it's cave or food. All fish have personality I guess you could get a crazy one.

I don't see why you could not keep a small pleco with Discus like a clown pleco , Bn, Flash, or pitbull pleco. If you have a really big tank I think you could keep a large pleco with Discus as long as you make sure too feed your plecos the proper food it needs. Also you need to give the Pleco a cave to call it's own they need a place to feel safe.

I have a bristlenose in with my discus and have had no problems.

Do you even keep Discus? They go after Discus because they have a very nutrient rich slime coat (reason for the babes feeding off them) They are also a good sized target (them being round) and a normally a relatively slow target.

people said i couldnt keep my royal in with my malawis and i did it any way jsut for trial and error purposes if it didnt work i would have taken it out. but in fact it thrived in the higher ph water conditions etc. i think alot of it is trl and error yeah if things go wrong remvoe the fish but dotn see anything wrong with trying things once
