nonononono im not saying its not worth that much to someone, i was on about it has fish tank in the subject title

i know the mona lisa is worth a hell of a lot, in money and in cultural value, and i dont particularly like that sort of art either, everyones tatstes are different.

It is not a fish tank; it is an ornament/decoration with fish carved into the stone...
They do now very nice ceramic ponds in China for goldfish; they come with an in-built aeration and a pomp through a fish sculpture 'sitting' on the side of the pot. The smallest size is at least 50 cms in diameter though. They are meant to decorate hallways, patios or living rooms. I guess you guys know the importance of goldfish for Chinese, right?

Goldfish and Koi are extremely important in asia...why? I'm not sure but I know they represent something.

im not daying it is a fishtank, im sayign to me, from my perspepctive, it looked like a (albeit very nice) very expensive fish tank ornament.

obviously everyone has differing opinions!


and no biulu ido not know the importance of goldfish to the chinese. care to share?

I think it's quite beautiful and I would pay £1800 for it, except, I also know I could get a flight for about £700 to china and buy it for about £200, leaving me £900 to explore the fishy world of China.
