Can I put my two goldfish in my old fish bowl while I clean their tank? They are probably too big to be put it the little red container I put my betta in while his tank is getting cleaned. I will post two pics below showing you pics of my fish, so you can see how big they are. Plz respond back, thanks.

Ummm, yes? Think for a second how fish are shipped or taken home.

Btw I can't see the pics. I think it's just my computer but just thought I'd let you know in case you have 2 15" monsters that won't fit in the bowl.

Ok thanks. The pics should resize after a few seconds.

if your just doing a water change cant you leave them where they are ?
if you need to empy or scrub them out sure put them in a bowl of their own tank water for a bit, nice goldys by the way

I don't think it's anything like that. My comp has decided to not like photobucket or similar sites lately.

Do you know your not ment to empty your tank completely for a water change? You just gravel vac the substrate and take out about 20-50% of your water.

You should never empty your tank completely unless you need to scrub the hell out of it for some reason.

get an algae scraper, a gravel vac, wash the decs if needs be but certainly dont strip and empty the tank if you dont "need" to.. have you tested the water if your test are ok then you would only ever need to do a partial water change /vac

can see pics now that they have resized, unless you have an issue with your tests your tank looks lovely and clean.. dont fix what aint broke ;)

Yeah I know. For my betta I always just do about a 75% water change. So should I just do about a 50% water change this first time?

As long as the fish have enough water the swim in at the bottom of the tank then they should be fine left in there while you do the water change. Removing them will stress them unneccessarily...
