I have just one of these. I think it's female. When will it get it's colors? It's still pretty young.

Often Kribs only show their colour when they need to. You may find if you add a male she'll suddenly colour up. No need to look conspicuous when you don't need to!

i added another krib for my other krib , and he chased the new krib around until it died. I wanted a f cuz my old krib has pointy fins at the end of its fins , so its a male. I tried to get a f but the employee didnt know

So they didnt have a female, and you decided to put another male into the tank?

Not too smart, if they didnt have a female you shouldnt have got one at all.

can you post a pic of your krib?
they are fairly easy to sex, but its not always that easy if that makes sense
the females tend to be more colourful in the belly, if there is gold across the tips of the fins it could be male

Mine is white with a black stripe down it's side.

I have it in a community environment. I've heard that If I have two together, then they might get aggressive and kill all my other fish. That's why I only have one. Can I safely add another?

your main problem with kribs is they make excellent parents, if you get a pair they will make los of fry, which will mean lots of fights while they protect their teritory and their young ones...

i've had a large blue acara beaten up by a small father krib

if you get 2 of same sex, being cichlids they may well get aggressive anyway..

this shows a good colourful krib - i think she is female

this one is male - notice the gold on the fins

they are beautiful and lovely fish to keep, especially if you are lucky enough to get a pair who mate, to see them parenting is amazing
