Whats The Big Deal?

what plants do you have?????

just added 2 more pics in the fist post so if anyone can identify some more let me know
i know i have java fern , java moss , vallis , twisted vallis , amazon frogbit ,rotala macranda and cabomba but not sure what else is in there

thanks for the comments was hoping the messagers would post but they havent yet

Block their id's from your mail service, I think that with normal power filtration (and you certainly have enough of them) and all the plants you have in the tank your water quality must be good, and a 180 is more than adequate .

Ignore them, they are too stupid to properly read your stocking level, and check the species you have along with all the filtration you are using on the tank.

lmao didnt know i could do that ---- god i'm a dumbass - will block them now , thanks hun ;)

I get messages saying i'm overstocked cos i have 30+ corys in my tank amoung other fish ~(rio 180)
all my fish are healthy and i'm presuming happy and thiving as they are breeding and the fry surviving ...

...So i really appreciate the messages and comments but my inbox is getting full quick so if you have ANY comments or tips please post them here , i'm always happy to read them but fed up deleting inbox all the time

Hi pippoodle :)

I find it disturbing that you should feel it necessary to start a topic such as this. When you (or any member) posts information about your fish and tanks, it is in the belief that it will help or entertain the other members. Any comments about them should be made on the boards, on the thread they are meant to address.

If you are getting numerous PM regarding your fishkeeping practices, and feel harassed by them, please don't hesitate to contact me or one of the other moderators. We want your experience on TFF to be enjoyable and pleasant.

As stated, if you perceive any problems at all do contact a member of the moderating team. Personally I see no problem with your stocking.

I was initially horrified to hear of the harassment you suffered, but my second reaction was to roll on the floor laughing various body parts off.
Anybody who's read any of your posts/seen any pics of your beautiful, healthy, flourishing, planned and cherished tanks and fish yet persists in sending you such messages must not realize April Fools had been and gone.
And there was more than one?
Hope it's not catching and doesn't spread any further...
I'll never understand people who like to try to make others feel badly or insecure, and I do hope there aren't too many on the site.
And that they come to realize that it's better to connect with reality before attacking other people over what they thereby show obviously to be their own misunderstanding, making their own error so obvious.
Especially misplaced when directed against such a nice, caring person as you...

It probably stems from the incomplete "rule" of 1" per gallon - which should be 1" of small fish per gallon when the filter is immature.

As your filter is nicely matured, you have carefully selected your stocking to be compatible and you have a gorgeous planted set up (further boosting your filtration as well as providing habitat for your fish) then you have very little to be concerned about. Given your planting I suspect that in the case of power failure your tank would remain stable for longer than a lot of tanks.

I'd be replying to the messagers asking what they were using as the basis to say you were overstocking.

Some people have nothing better to to than criticise others, and are usually to cowardly to do it in public. Odd that they are usually people who keep half a dozen B&B fish for 6 months & think they are experts because they read a couple of books.

Your tank looks great :good: & your water stats show there is no problem with stock levels. :good: . so 'nuf said.
