As the title says, whats stopping you from having the tank you want?

Money, time, space, husband/wife, etc.

And by dream setup, I mean something that is of course realistic and can actually be done.

At the moment, space. Two-bedroom condo on the second floor. I have the lizards, two small betta tanks, and the 20 gal in the living room, the rest are all tucked into corners of the spare bedroom wherever I could fit them. But will be moving to a house this fall and I get a fish/lizard room. Dream set up here I come!! (Course, money will then become a factor as all spare money is being sucked up by the wedding budget..... :p )

My family, the money and the fact that I do a LOT of travelling...

parents - i still live at home

as soon as i get my first house (1.5 years time) I will be having my dream setup which will prob be in before the funriture

Dodgy floorboards  I stay in a flat and my biggest tank is 55 gall UK. I'm too scared to try anything bigger. :hey:

I live in a 3 room apartment, i have 6 hamster cages all with hamsters in and 3 fish tanks- the animals have more space than me :hyper: But for the last couple of months i've been searching around for a bigger place so i can start on my 200gal project :fun:

Space, money, and the fact that I still live with my parents. There's no way I would ever want to have to move my dream setup with me when I move out, as I would like 300+ gallons. Moving the 80 gallon is going to be a hassle as it is :S

Not having a place of my own. Right now I am living with my parents, and they wont let me. If I had a house (not an appartment) of my own I would get a giant in wall tank...like 8 feet long, and 2 high. I love those. Either an in wall, or one that is a stand-alone that acts as a room divider.

A 300gal with lots of different types of plants, livebearers, plecs and rare loaches and corys. I want fine pure white sand like the stuff i currently have and somelarge plants growing out of the tank and large peices of bogwood sticking out of the water.
I wouldn't get anything larger than 300gal unless i had the money to pay somone to do the tank maintanence for me.

BLEEPING PARENTS! LoL
"Oh Megan, you already have 8 bettas! You are NOT getting any more!"
Eight isn't that much...geesh...
But my dad is ok, he's the one that wants me to get a 100+ gallon tank in the near future :D
You know what else gets me really angry? When my mom tells me its too much work to clean all 11 of my tanks...and I'M the one cleaning them, not her! I've never even complained!!! :sly:
