Looks like a L001 gold spot pleco to me. Very nice looking fish

Oh yes yes yes, I actually id'd a fish correctly.

Thanks for that guys :good:

He came with the tank i bought last week which i plan to move all my other fish in from my smaller tank, but i need to get rid of the fish that came with it first,i like a planted aquarium so he will be going i would keep him but ive had experiences before where ive had my aquarium rearranged overnight so now i just stick to dwarf plecos. Will be sad to see him go because hes quite an active character and looks stunning. Just need to find somebody who have him now....are they as hard to rehome as common plecos? just out of interest do you know how much they are worth hes about 4 inches?

Thanks again

Ian

Pretty much the same as commons to get rid of, again due to size.... you would be better to offer free to good home rather than ask for money :)... there not worth anythink for the size factor and LFS sell them for £3-£3.50 at around 2-3 inches.

stunning fish but just get way to big for most people to house comfortably for life :(

To me they are one of the most stunning large plecs you will ever see but it is always that size factor that puts most off, they do tend to grow smaller than commons but i have seen some very large 001's in my time, if i had the room i would rehome these plecs myself... maybe one day when i have a heated pond :)

Hope you find it a good home m8 :)

I hope you are miles away from me because I will have a spare tank running in a few weeks and would snap him off you lol
