What's In A Name?

har har har, that was long before i met Ian

pics maybe 5 years old now actually!! well the tat's haven't changed!

just my shoddy sewing, although i think that was meant to look distressed

I said what mine stood for many moons ago on this forum
2 points to anyone that can find it, I can't :p

Mine comes from when i was in the navy.

Atkins being my surname and not liking the typical nickname "Tommy" that usually is applied to that surname,

someone suggested Diet as in Atkins Diet

and so it stuck.

Now my partner in crime at that time was nicknamed Pepsi...

Well I used to be quiet not saying boo to anyone. Then in the 70's I decided not to be a clone of everyone else. I went goth and even punk before there was a goth and punk. In school people considered me a little mad because of the way I dressed. It never changed .Im a bit left of center field and enjoy it. People think I'm a little crazy and I guess I give them reason to. I showed up at a teachers conference in full costume at Halloween and totally embarassed my kids. My sons tell everyone my mom's a little crazy and started calling me madmom. The neighborhood kids love it that I'm always up for a game even at my age though the parents just shake their heads at me. I refuse to grow up completely as I am having too much fun shocking the neighbors and driving my kids crazy. After all I have to get even with the kids somehow.

I guess I'm boring, or happy with my regular identity!?

I was gf225, "gf" being initials, 225 the last three digits in my service number (I'm in the RAF).

I changed it to my full name so PFK readers could identify me and ask me questions.

My name is quite boring, when I was joining the forum I couldn't think of a name and was looking in my tank at the time and saw my sucking loach so used that. (The sucking loach went back to the shop the next day after I read about thme on this forum!!)

Anybody watch Babylon 5? I used to love that show. [sigh] Still do.
Didn't want to take a name as obvious as any of the main characters though, on some of the forums I used to go to there were tons of John's, Sheridan's, Delenn's...
So I went with a funny one. The Drazi are an alien race on B5. Every six Earth years, they have a "civil war" among two rival factions, green Drazi and purple Drazi. A Drazi's allegiance is decided arbitrarily by choosing a coloured sash which is then worn around their torso, either green or purple. There is no inherent motive or reason for the civil war at all.

Purple!

Mine is simple - The name of the lead character in the film Ferris Bueller's day off - one of my favourite films of all time and a John Hughes classic. (Also the name of my Oscar) :D

Anyone under the age of 30 probably has no clue what i'm talking about.

HeroDave . . . Simple really

Dave: My name
Hero: Because im a hero to many! :D

The hero bit started out awhile ago, a friend called me a hero whilst in a group of friends and its stuck. Its only used online and when we're joking whilst out drinkin or whatnot though . . . But i am a hero to them, honest!

Just thought I`d add mine.

"Gooner"............... A keen Arsenal supporter. Otherwise known as Gooners not Gunners.

Taken from the Urban Dictionary.
9. Gooner
A person connected in any way with north London outfit Arsenal.

There are a few other meanings for the word "Gooner" but this is a family forum so they cant be listed.
