Whats Happened To The Bargains!

As some people may have noticed i am in the market for a 4ft tank! but cant find anything for under £150! (yes i know im being tight but thats just the way i am!) It wasnt that long ago i bought a 5x2.5x2ft tank with 2 external filters and more for under £100!

My current Trigon 190L i picked up for £90!

Have I just been lucky? Or is there just more competition now?

My Trigon 190L cost me £190 all in, so you got a good deal there if it was in like new condition like mine was!

I'm always on the look out for bargains, don't see any though! And when I do they are far too far away

Come the the US lol? There is a second hand store down the road with a 55gal with stand and most everything for $75.

I got the sister in law a trigon190 for £30 but it didn't have the original stand... not bad though.

depends on when/where you look, at the moment theres loads of tanks on gumtree local to me, some very good value others not so good.

just keep shopping around, sure you'll find one in budget

That's a good question, matt_storey. I figure you've already tried looking at online shopping options and estate sales. Have you thought about buying an alternative material tank? There not for everyone, I guess, but I've been reading good reviews over the past few days. I've been thinking of supplementing my first tank with an EverLINK add-on funnel plus holding reservoir. I don't know how it's going to work out, but I'll be sure to let you know!

well the trigon is in dark wood and absolutely MINT! was chuffed, came with the stand and a load of ocean rock i sold

i'll have to keep looking i guess

Not sure where you are (even if you are in England) but Bristol trade it has a 4ft tank for £80...
Has 3 goldfish in it that will need a pond but apart from that it looks ok

Its because you looking..lol...was same with me, then when i wasnt looking along came a fully equipt 5/2/2 for under a 100

Its the same with shopping, you can't find anything you like, but when your skint, theres always loads of things.

The bargains are out there, just have to keep your eyes peeled
