Yep. CW021. I have dozens. No common name, that's why they have a CW number. That's a $3 to $4 fish, tops. - Frank

Until a fish has been given a nomenclature by ichthyologist it is given a "C" or "CW" number so the fish can be discussed, intelligently.

The differences are quite obvious. - Frank

Hi. No web site, no person, not even the experts, are correct 100% of the time. It's far from a perfect world and these ID's are constantly in a state of flux. Additionally, CW021 may be considered a regional variant of C. axelrodi . Same with C. loxozonus. C079, C082 and C083 are all color forms of C. loxozonus, which all resemble C. axelrodi to a certain degree.

Are we having fun, yet. lol.

It's how we all start out. No one is born with this knowledge. lol.

For all of us, I'm afraid.

That's kind of you to say, but everything I know, I learned from someone else. No time in my life for any kind of project like that.

Always happy to help, when I can. You are quite welcome. - Frank

Would one of these people be ian fuller by any chance?. He has mentioned a good friend that lives state side.

Yep. Most of what I know I have learned from Ian, his books and our visits, together. Ian has many friends on this side of the pond who have great respect for his knowledge and admiration for his willingness to share that knowledge. I hold no one in higher esteem, both at a professional and personal level. He is a very special person and his dedication to the hobby is unparalleled. - Frank
