What To Breed

well guppies are obvioulsy the easyest, bettas seem to be ok a bit of a challenge ( i havent but i have herd) but u need at least 2 tanks one for the male and 1 for the female, cherry barbs are easy but hard to get them "going" what fish have you bred in the past?

i wouldnt go for platies to easy if your looking for a challenge!!

go for one that is a bit harder to breed and their are not many people successfully breeding if you really want a challenge!!!
:)

I've heard that killifish and discus are fairly difficult. I picked up a book about spawning fish, and it mentioned them as some of the hearder fish.

If you want a challenge. There's always the very difficult challenge of bredding Kuhli loaches. Also never bred in captivity. Good luck with this if you try it!

Now thats a good answer!

It's easy getting a lot of species to spawn as a lot do it in the tank anyway! It is raising the young up thats usually the hardest part!

The species you have listed are so few, there are so many you could try.
I could list the 60+ species I have successfully bred and reared if you like so you can pick an easier one off that if you like.

if you want something really hard to breed, try clown loaches. they have only been breed twice in captivity.
