what happened to all the big fish you had in there

I remember you posting a while ago saying its not worked out how you wanted it to which is a shame. And while I agree it will look amazing with those kind of fish in massive numbers I think you could still get some real good cichlid combos in there.

You could get an awesome massive geophagus group in there and they would go really well with the other fish you had on the list.

As far as numbers if you went for like all those fish you listed I reckon you would easily be able to go a couple hundred of each.... - this is going to be really really expensive I mean at the moment most cories are going at £3-5 each more often than not even more........ And these kind of fish are harder to find cheap as its not like the giants you had in the past where people need rid of them...

yeah sadly it didnt go how i wanted it to

i dont really want the ciclids much (except angel fish)

also i realize it will be expensive but ill be stocking slowly and build it up

i was thinking say

200 tetras of different types eg 20 of each (suggestions on what ones please)
dont know howmany angels like 10 if i could get away with it
like 20 rainbows (again what type/types)
and other fish that people suggest

I dont mean to be rude but are you serious? 10 angels if you could get away with it? In that size your going to be able to have at least 20 or 30 if you wanted probably even more Im just unsure of how it would work, I mean if you think that a lot of people do a pair of angels in a 3 x 18 x 15 you basically have 9 of those tanks at least and then all the extra room to boot. I imagine they will start to take on an almost schooling behavior like you see in the big Takeshi Amano tank.

Have you thought about getting some Altums in there with the regular angels?

As for tetras I would mix them up a lot get some of the bigger ones like columbian and mix them with mid sized disk ones like flame or bleeding heart I think it is just a case of you perusing what you like.

What do you think about headstanders?

Wills

cool i like altums but cant source them

i wasnt sure if theyde still fight but i think thats to do with territory so i guess that wont be a problem

if i had
(decided i want 250 tetras)

150 cardinal tetra
50 bleeding heart tetra
50 Columbian tetra
angels 20
like 20 rainbows (again what type/types)
head standers (don't know how many)
and other fish that people suggest

if i had a 9ft tank id be doing a marine or malawai cichlid tank, something busy and super colourful :good:

I'd probably go for a nice school of black widow tetras in there, possibly with a nice school of khuli loaches too.

150 cardinals will cost a bomb, would be an awesome sight though.

150 cardinal tetras... that would cost you about £150 alone

But yes, i would have also said a large group of tetras.

How about some Gouramis? Im not too sure if they can be kept in groups peacefully though?

For bottoms dwellers, maybe a shoal of Black cories?

Too much possibilities, too hard to choose! :look:

yeah i was thinking marine but changed my mind

so

150 cardinal tetra
50 bleeding heart tetra
50 Columbian tetra
angels 20
like 20 rainbows
like 30 cories

150 cardinal tetras... that would cost you about £150 alone

id buy whole sale so would cost me 65 pounds

also with the cories i was thinking just have a mixed group of all kinds

you could just give the tank to me, I know for you bigs are not your thing, which is fair enough, i have seen some stunning eight foot plus planted tanks with community set ups,,trying to find the video

150 cardinals £65 if you know where to look!!

That would be awsome a large community tank, I love having a big group of angels, ok when they are little but they are growing now. It maybe worth rather than buying individual angels with that size tank get a breeding pair, I am sure you would have great sucess with them in that size tank.

Lol too slow, you know about the cardinals

yeah i was thinking about the breeding pair but then i thought if i missed the eggs the babies would get sucked into the sump pretty quick but there will be a mess so probs not even so id like to have little angels and watch them grow

thanks bae
