Hey guys, my main tank has been having green dust algae problems on one side of the tank and its getting annoying having a massive flow deadspot over that side. Also some of my plants on that side are getting 0 flow, I have lily pipes on my filter atm so could that also be a problem? I was looking at buying the original pipework with spraybar anyway. Its a Rio 125 with a TT EX1200 filter (how I got a deadspot I don't know!) so what sort of size should I look at getting? Scanned Ebay but only found 3000LPH+ and that seems a little excessive.

Also where would I place it, the opposite side as the filter flow or next to it to increase it that way?

Thanks :good:

3000 LPH is gross overkill in my opinion. You just wanted to move some water in a small area so get one designed for maybe a 20 or 30 gallon tank, like an AC30, and mount it nearby. It should give you plenty of flow in a small area.

Yeah thought it was a bit high, want more flow on that side not a washing machine lol.

I shall have a flick through and see what else I can find, would a Hydor Nano work or is that too big too?

I have a koralia evo 2800 on a 350 litre tank and wouldn't want any more flow on that, would have thought one of the nano pumps would work well on a 125, what one you get would depend on the fish I expect, some fish can cope with more flow than others.

In this tank I have Bronze Corys, Bolivian Rams, White cloud Minnows and Otos. Think they can all cope with a bit of flow so I'll look into the Nano's I think.

Thanks for the help guys :good:
