I dunno about the species. Just wanted to let you know, Plecoptera is a type of insect also known as stone flies. Plecostomus is the sucker catfish you're referring to. :)

I can't be 100% certain from that pic (I know plecs are really hard to get photos of!) but it looks like a bristlenose.

If it is, it'll get to about four or five inches; maybe six (there are a few different species sold under the name 'bristlenose').

Probably a BN If its a year old with small bristles then its probably FM.

For reference, this is my FM Bristlenose;

Yours looks to have a greenish colour

Maybe a juvenile green phantom ? but to me looks more of the ancistrus genera

I'd say it's a bushynose, but green phantom is a possibility.  The price you paid for it will tell you a lot cause a phantom is considerably more.

I will get a better picture but it does have little bristles and I can't remember how much I paid for it.

Hope this picture helps

Yup deffenitley a starlight bristlenose

And how big will a starlight bristle nose grow and I love the name of the species it made me go ahhhh

I've seen as big as 7 inches but I think 4-5 is more common.

Thank you for that but unfortunately last night it succumb to whatever has killed all my tetras from Tom
