What Phosphate Remover Do You Use?

I know you need to be cautios with the liquid hence why I would not use.

Are you using a reactor seffie ?

No I'm not Morri, just goes in a bag in my Deltec MCE 600 which is fine when it first goes in but i have to remember to turn it over etc and often forget!! I have resisted using a reactor as its yet another piece of kit and drain on the leccy!

ps you have got me thinking about it again though Morri - tell me, why cant you have a duel Reactor for say Phospate and Carbon?

Would this be ok?

ah ha - you can get duel reactors

I don't think a 6w pump should be that much of a drain on the electric - 6w is tiny :p

Assuming worse case 10p per unit(kw/h)... 167hrs for 10p (around a week) * 52 = £5.20 a year...

Well, when you put it like that

I currently have nine things for my tank plugged into my lecci, so one more shouldn't hurt

Mind you, to be honest, its that constant hummmm that does my head in!

It tends to be the frequency that annoys people rather than volume, specially if it resonates and pulses... just using a softer mount doesn't always help - making a more rigid mount can sometimes remove annoying frequencies.

It makes me wonder - has anyone tried to sound proof their cabinets? Like the Dynamat that people use in the body work of their cars etc?

I use a very cheap pump on mine can send you a link I hear n noise from it :)

So, does a reactor extend the life of the media?
