What Kind Of Plants And Decor Do Betta's Like?

I just got a 5.5 gallon aquarium and I was wonder what kind of decor and plants they like. I have a little cave thing so he can hide. A live plant, and a little Buddha thing. Do they like fake plants. I was thinking of getting a couple of those

If you get fake plants, get silk! Otherwise it can rip their fins also, mine adores his new Marimo balls - its like his lil bed! Lol

My guys LOVE their betta logs. They're made by zoo med. Perfect for sleeping and bubble nest building. I've started wrapping some of them in moss to give it that extra authentic look too
