What is your most entertaining fish?

Violet Gobies.
I could watch them for hours (and I do!)

Here's how to live life to the full, Violet Goby stylee...
  1. Spend hours hollowing out a cave under a lump of wood and moving all the sand from one end of the tank to the other.
  2. Then take ten minutes out for mouth stretching exercises, just in case all that sand moving has stirred up anything edible that can be filtered out of the water.
  3. Then it's time to chase the other violet gobies around the tank a few times before settling down to making a new burrow and moving all that sand back to where it started from.
  4. Return to stage (1)

Mine two clown loaches are just awesome to watch when they patrol the tank for snails, I can't bear to rinse plants 'cos it's so funny watching them attack and the sound they make

Dan :p

My betta Orchid. He patrols his tank and "attacks" anything new I put in there. (decos, etc.) it is great. Also, he falls in love with random objects. (it is currently the tablecloth)

My mogurnda gudgeon could keep me entertained for a while  He swims up to the top of the tank (For food) and stares at me, then, I stick my finger tip in the water to see what he will do :p He used to bite, but now, he just slowly approaches, stares at my finger for a good 10 seconds, shakes his head violently, and swims off, REPEAT

My goldfish. Its so funny when they swim upside down or do summersaults.

My betta. George goes in and out of his cave and always comes to chat with me when I walk near the tank.

He has more personality than the platys--they just want to always be fed. The cory's hide out most of the day. The rasboras are cool to watch, :shifty: but they do the same thing over and over, back and forth from one end of the tank to the other.

Mine had to be Cream.... my lonely puffer fish....

he is intelligent, and really cute to watch. he explores everywhere in the tank, and then when he finds no food, he will re explore the tank one more time....

When i hold the BW on my finger, he will swim to the top to nip it away from me, then swim to his hiding place to consume it, before swimming out asking for more... and when ou feed him enough, you can see a swell in his stomach.

We used to call him ninja when he was in the community tank.... reason: will love to sneak up and nip the tails of other fishes, namely the 4 corydoras, the 15 cardinals, 6 zebra danio and his favourite the 4 blood red platy. Fun to watch, but painful to bear, so now he is in his own 2 imperial gallon tank....

Oh I wish I could have every species of fish so far metioned lol

But mine are great too, my favourite has to be my male apisto- Benny

He is CONSTANTLY hungry and comes to say 'hi' and 'feed me' whenever I see him. Also he is a brilliant father. As the tank is seperated for mum and her babies to get peace, babies used to get through and I'd usually put them back. But now there are 2 in with him and he just looks after them and swims with them :*)

so cool

A combo between my pictus cat - always patrolling and lovely to watch flitting by.
My 2 Red Rainbows almost always swimming in perfect sync
My 2 Angelicus Loaches - always "dancing" all over the tank

my cory cat and my biggest apple snail- they just dicoverd the bubble curtain and they ride it like a roller coaster lol

I think my loaches are easily the most entertaining. Though I'm not sure I could pick just one of the loaches.

It has to be my eel, goes around twenty4seven exploring and being annoying :hyper:

For pure entertainment, it's my zebra danios hands down. I love watching them shoal. I've also seen them get my guppy girls in with them a few times and my little otos try to shoal with them once in a while. It just amazes me how they swim so quickly in and out from each other and never hit each other or get dizzy.

Mine has to be our male Tiger barb - called Spike. All he needs is a Rottweiller and a medallion and he is the man! He is so full of himself. He displays all the time to anything that maybe (and quite often may not be) interested. He thinks he is the main man in the tank, quite unaware that the other fish we have are not territorial, couldn't give a stuff whether Spike is there or not, not even vaguely interested in his personal opinion of his superiority and are generally too busy with their own lives to consider Spike in any way, shape or form.

None of this bothers Spike, who evidently is busy contemplating his own greatness!

He's a dude! A fish with attitude!!!

Don't let him join this site! I would hate to think he knew I was talking about him behind his back :-(
