why not make your filter pipe stand vertical instead of plastering it over the back? is it too long? can you cut some off? :)

Yeah, the pipe vertical in the corner and the heater vertical next to it would be better. I never had a problem this way and the heater being next to the intake helps circulate the warm water better. The tank is small enough to have temperature fluctuations anyway.

And don't expect the dwarf sag to keep the path for you :) I figured out it grew faster if I planted it single ones close together rather than in bunches. It eventually bunches up itself :)
Also, I was thinking you can put the amazon sword at the bottom of the path as a central piece, then move the elodea to the right behind/around the stone cave but infront of the filter intake and heater, it's flexible enough and long enough to hide them and it will grow up to the surface making a turn like this ).
And plant the anubias on the driftwood to the right, it will look lovely.
Other than that, it's nice as it is as well.

Yeah, it's too long. I am going to cut it when these eggs hatch, just don't want to disturb the tank until they have hatched.

Yeah, I put the heater next to the eggs so could get the full effect of the heater :) When they hatch I will move it back.

I wanted the dwarf sag to stay like that to be honest, there a few popping up here and there, which I think i am going to trim. I don't like the idea of having the amazon sword right at the front. I won't be able to see anything! :)

Thanks!

I think he meant at the back.

I didn't mean the front, I meant the bottom of the tank, the end of the path.
I am just expressing an opinion but it doesn't mean you can't do it better than me :)

It would make a lot more sense :) I have so many things I want to do, but these BLOODY EGGS, are making it hard for me :(

The eggs are better off in a net with a an airstone beneath. The extra heat(if any) from the heater may just promote fungus and bacteria to grow on them instead, and damage them.

SO! I have made some Changes, I have uploaded and sorted my Album out on Imgur, have a little looky! http://imgur.com/a/CXyab

I have taken a lot of your thoughts into consideration and I am going to actually do some things you suggested. Like one I have already done, removed the thermometer and didn't realise I had an inside glass one in my cupboard. I am going to tie those Anubias to the wood and more.

Look at the tank progression :)

The tank looks a little green because of the duckweed I added, everything is out a little more now because of this.

I see some healthy plant growth in there :)

I haven't even started dosing the ferts yet :D Just have some Osmocote dotted around in the sand.

duck week? you mean the floating horrible stuff that stops the light getting though to the plants? eewwwwwwwwwwwwww

If you yanked everything out and planted a single amazon sword in the middle of the tank it would look 10 times better, just looks like a weedy mess at the moment. I know it sounds harsh and i don't like shooting people down when they start, but you should spend some time looking through the planted tank journals on the forum, do some research.
