Congrats! IMCL85! You have a very nice little guy. They are lovely schoolers, too small to do much damage with their little pirhana mouths, seldom do even a little bickering, and easy to keep. They show up nicely even in a big tank. In a large enough group, about 12, they will drift like a little cloud. They will possibly join your cardinals. I really like mine--although I may like the little green neons more when combined with them. I have had mine, bought in two groups, for six months. They have changed tanks three times. One got dropped, and I didn't find it until it was too late. I was careless ) but even though I am a true newbie, none have died of natural causes, even in an outbreak of ich.
By the way I was wondering, are you French Canadian?
